Wesley "Tater" Hildebrand

Wesley “Tater” Hildebrand, 17, son of Travis and Valerie Ann (Parise) Hildebrand, joined the musical bands in heaven on Saturday, February 9, 2019. Born in Lancaster, PA, Wesley was a Senior at J.P. McCaskey High School and was taking a college course at HACC. He was a member of Living Faith Church, where he played drums on the worship team. Wesley was a gifted musician, playing in the band Two Pints Shy as a drummer. He was a talented musician who wrote music and songs, sang and played any instrument he could get his hands on. He demonstrated his musical talents as a very young boy while banging on paint cans. He continued his passion when his family decided to buy him his first drum set at the age of 10. He was a member of the J.P. McCaskey High School jazz band, marching band, and the drumline. Wesley was a member of the Cross Country team since his freshman year. Wesley had many passions and talents. One of his passions was cooking, especially for his family and loved ones. He enjoyed trying new recipes like chicken wings, vegetarian empanadas and baking cheesecakes. He enjoyed working out, going to the beach with his family, and his family cats, Booter, Lou, and Bailey. He was a masterful poetry writer. He loved listening to music and going to concerts. Two of his favorite bands were 21 Pilots and Switchfoot. Most of all, he loved being with his wonderful family. They were his rock during some of his most difficult times. He was fearless, impulsive, and a beautifully reluctant leader to his younger siblings and friends. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Keilah Rae, and brothers, Garett “Bear”, and Silas “Wiley”. He is also survived by his parental grandparents, Randy and Jean Hildebrand of Strasburg, PA and maternal grandparents, Tom and Rita Parise of Lancaster, PA, as well as LOTS of loving aunts and uncles. Wesley is also survived by his girlfriend, Celina Nazario. He was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandmother, Theresa “Baba” Neustadter, only a few days ago. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Wesley’s Life Celebration Memorial Service at Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Road, Lancaster, PA 17601 on February 28th, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. with the Pastor Nick Stephens officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church from 5:00 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to Friends of Music, c/o J.P. McCaskey High School, 445 N. Reservoir Street, Lancaster, PA 17602 in Wesley’s memory.
