Toryn-Dyah Herr

4/21/94-12/8/15 She is survived by her mother Susan, father Chad, sister Codi, brothers Brandon and Justin, Grandma Joyce Brubaker, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and a niece. As the stars appeared in the night, giving hope to those who saw daylight fade, the evening of December 8th, 2015, our sister, our peacemaker, found her way home to the Father, her Savior. Her soul has finally found rest upon the purest sand and most merciful, breathtaking waters of Heaven. She is now safe, as He has rescued her from the tempest tide, which she feared but fought, finding courage and faith through the waves. Toryn was a beautiful little girl, with the lightest blonde hair, tan skin, and chubby cheeks that glowed with warmth as she smiled. Her eyes lit up with joy as she broke out in laughter. She was the breath of innocence. On the beach she'd flip backwards along the ocean so far, she'd flip until her body appeared as teeny as an ant in the distance. She won the President's Fitness Tests at school, and many medals in gymnastics. She loved fishing, sleepovers, and stories with Grandma and Grandpa. She adored their love and thrived in their love for her. It was in those times that she learned to love so deeply, sincerely and infinitely. She was her mom's “Itty bitty, Tortle, too.” They shared the phrase “‘Right, Mom?’ ‘Right, Tor,’” in promises to each other that they'd both be alright. Toryn offered my mom the chance to experience the best in life. They bonded over the refuge they'd find from simple truths and beautiful creations. They fell in love with every dog, especially those looking in need of rescue, and every glimpse of hope for peace. Toryn loved bonding with our Aunt Julie, and grew with wisdom and faith from each of their encounters. It was from her that Toryn learned that giving to others was one of the purest joys this world could offer. Toryn delighted in the idea of family. She loved her brothers and their children and longed for the times we could all be together. She found friendship from our dad and always wanted more time together. She deeply admired her sister, where she found protection and strength. She dreamed of her future, one brighter and different, with her family all around her, especially with Codi. She meant the best for everyone and spent so much time trying. She longed to be again as invested as she once was in the love of her family. The weight of this world was a heavy one for Toryn, but the gift of her life was and is a sacred and precious one. She is now alive again, rejoicing in eternal love with her Grandpa and Sierra, our dog, who preceded her in death. Memorial service will be at a later date.
