Silvia M. Huertas

Silvia “Sevilla” M. Huertas, 92, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Jayuya, PR, as the daughter of the late Juan Arroyo and Paula Quiles. She was married to Francisco Huertas until his passing in 2005. Silvia dedicated her life to her family, and to The Lord, in her free time she enjoyed crocheting, reading, doing crossword puzzles, word search puzzles, and dancing. Silvia is survived by her son, Antonio Huertas (Celines), of Lancaster, PA, Jorge Huertas, Sr. (Nancy) of Bronx, NY, Orlando Huertas, of Jupiter, FL, Melissa Huertas, of Tampa, FL, and John Huertas, of Monroe, NY. Her grandchildren: Jorge Jr., Orlando Jr., Nicole, Christopher, Justin, Kiana, Miguel, Kiomara, Tonisha, Marcus, and Jordan, 17 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Liz, and grandsons, Pedro Flores, and Andres Huertas. Friends and family are invited to Silvia’s Funeral Service at The Groffs Family Funeral Home, 528 W. Orange Street, Lancaster on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Members of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses will lead in prayer. A Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be held at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery. Nació en Jayuya, PR, como hija del difunto Juan Arroyo y Paula Quiles. Estuvo casada con Francisco Huertas hasta su fallecimiento en el 2005. Silvia dedicó su vida a su familia y al Señor, en su tiempo libre disfrutaba tejiendo a ganchillo, leyendo, haciendo crucigramas, sopas de letras y bailando. A Silvia le sobreviven su hijo, Antonio Huertas (Celines), de Lancaster, PA, Jorge Huertas, Sr. (Nancy) del Bronx, NY, Orlando Huertas, de Jupiter, FL, Melissa Huertas, de Tampa, FL, y John Huertas, de Monroe, NY. Sus nietos: Jorge Jr., Orlando Jr., Nicole, Christopher, Justin, Kiana, Miguel, Kiomara, Tonisha, Marcus y Jordan, 17 bisnietos y 2 tataranietos. Le preceden en la muerte su hija, Liz, y sus nietos, Pedro Flores y Andrés Huertas. Amigos y familiares están invitados al servicio funebre de Silvia en The Groffs Family Funeral Home, 528 W. Orange Street, Lancaster el jueves 9 de enero de 2025 a las 11:00 a.m. Los miembros del Salón del Reino de los testigos de Jehová dirigirán la oración.
