Leith Leed Reardon

Leith Anne Leed of Denver in her 51st year entered into rest after a year long courageous battle with lung cancer on Sunday, April 6, 2014. Born in Lancaster, Leith Anne was the loving daughter of the late John H. Leed and Phyllis Anne (Stack) Leed. Leith Anne graduated from Lampeter Strasburg High School in 1982. She graduated from Empire Beaty School in 1989. She graduated from HACC with a Phlebotomy Degree in 1999. She then worked at Lancaster General Hospital for 3 ½ years. Then began working at Ephrata Hospital Lab in 2004 and was phlebotomy Supervisor at the time of her diagnosis, having to retire due to her illness in October, 2014. Leith Anne was active in sports, having been a track and field high jumper her four years of high school. She was an avid fan of Nascar, The Philadelphia Eagles and “The Sharks” a local band of the 80’s – she loved to dance. Leith Anne and her business partner Sue Simmons operated the Manetamers in Mount Joy from 1991-1996. She then became self-employed with her own Beauty Shoppe “Leithal Beauty” from 1996-2000. Leith Anne enjoyed her 80’s Rock-n-Roll music and was known for her “Big Hair”. Leith Anne was always a warm loving, giving human being and “Paid it Forward” her entire life. This was quite evident in the out pouring of love, support, caring and giving of all her many, many friends and family during her illness. She wanted all to know how much their love and support meant to her. Special thanks to JR and Laura and Kathy and Ed who truly were a blessing. In addition to her mother, Leith is survived by two children: Cassidy Anne Reardon of Denver and Riley John Reardon of Lancaster, a brother, JR Leed and family, Jarretsville, MD, and many numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Leith’s Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2014 at The Groffs Family Funeral & Cremation Services, 528 W. Orange Street (corner of Pine & Orange Sts.) Lancaster, PA with Deacon Augustus Mauro officiating. The family will greet friends from 12:00 Noon until the time of service. Interment in Conestoga Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers; donations can be made to the Cassidy Anne Reardon Education fund at any PNC Bank location.
