Jose "Papo" L. Sanchez

Jose “Papo” L. Sanchez, 48, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. Born in Caguas, PR, he was the son of Milagro Mercado. Jose will be missed tremendously by his loving family, especially his princess “Kaykay”. He was very funny and silly, his mother and him shared the sense of humor and always told jokes to one another. They had the ability and for hours talk about life. He had such a big heart and was kind and helpful to all his neighbors. He did not miss an opportunity to reassure family and friends of the bond that they had. He also loved anmals especially Maya and Maika, although they were the home pets, he loved them both like family. Papo was an amazing cook, who enjoyed the craft of making new dishes. He could always enjoy a warm plate of Rice and Corn beef above anything. He is survived by his two daughters, Kayleena Sanchez, and Shaylynn Jimenez, mother, Milagro Mercado (Edwin), father, Luis Antonio Sanchez, sister, Jazmin Casiano, three brothers, Francisco Rivera, Pedro Rivera, and Roberto Rivera, and two granddaughters, Zaiyelis Mendoza-Sanchez, and Zaiymari Mendoza- Sanchez. He and his brother Joel “Piru” Casiano who passed away in 2018 will be reunited. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service at The Groffs Family Funeral Home, 528 West Orange St. Lancaster, PA. on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be held at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery. José "Papo" L. Sánchez, de 48 años, de Lancaster, PA, falleció el Miércoles 16 de Noviembre de 2022. Nacido en Caguas, PR, era hijo de Milagro Mercado. José será extrañado tremendamente por su amorosa familia, especialmente su princesa "Kaykay". Era muy divertido, su madre y él compartían el sentido del humor y siempre se contaban chistes. Tenían la habilidad de hablar por horas sobre la vida. Tenía un corazón tan grande y era amable y servicial con todos sus vecinos. No perdió la oportunidad de recordarles a familiares y amigos del vínculo que tenían. Y a las dos perritas del hogar, aunque eran las mascotas de la familia, amaba a Maya y a Maika como tal. Papo era un cocinero increíble, que disfrutaba del oficio de hacer nuevos platos. Siempre podía disfrutar de un plato caliente de arroz y carne de maíz sobre todo. Le sobreviven sus dos hijas, Kayleena Sánchez y Shaylynn Jiménez, su madre, Milagro Mercado (Edwin), su padre, Luis Antonio Sánchez, su hermana, Jazmín Casiano, tres hermanos, Francisco Rivera, Pedro Rivera y Roberto Rivera, y dos nietas, Zaiyelis Mendoza-Sánchez y Zaiymari Mendoza-Sánchez. Él y su hermano Joel "Piru" Casiano, quien falleció en 2018, se reunirán. Los familiares y amigos están respetuosamente invitados a asistir a un servicio funerario en The Groffs Family Funeral Home, 528 West Orange St. Lancaster, PA. el martes 22 de noviembre de 2022, a las 11:00 a.m. La familia recibirá amigos a partir de las 10:00 a.m. hasta el momento del servicio.
