Doris Hahn Bleecher

Doris Hahn Bleecher of Lancaster, PA, went to be with her Lord, at age 82 on November 16, 2015. She was born on August 4, 1933 in Lancaster. She had lived in Akron and Lancaster area all of her life. She was the daughter of the late J. Clarence Hahn and Grace M. Hahn. A brother, J. Harold Hahn, died in 2003. She was married to Richard S. Bleecher, they celebrated 20 years of marriage and he passed away on October 29, 2005. Surviving are her three children: a son, Jeff C. Bricker, married to JoAnn E. Bricker, a daughter, Pamela D. Coyle, married to James Coyle and Gregory M. Bricker, married to Lisa Bricker. Surviving is her extended family: Kay-Ella Bleecher, married to Kerry Spangler; R. Scott Bleecher married to Mary Bleecher, Kim My Trinh. She was loved by all her granddaughters and grandsons: Shannon Bricker, Devon Lowry, Jennifer Colon, Aaron Root, Justin Root, Melissa Blessing and husband Thomas Blessing, Josh Bleecher, wife, Sabrina Bleecher, Aaron, Sarah Trinh. She was happy to be great grandmother to eight wonderful great grandchildren: Haley, Thomas, Jasmine, Natasha, Isabella, Viviana, Renee and Jaxson. Doris was married to the late Kenneth Bricker from 1955 thru 1979 and James Painter from 1979 thru 1983. She retired in 1999 as Office Manager for the Lancaster Parking Authority, with 23 years of service. Doris was passionate about music and sang in the St. John’s Lutheran Church Choir most of her life and the Cloister Chorus for 20 years, retiring in 2004. Doris said God will call her up to sing in his glorious choir in heaven. Doris was one of the original members of her friend’s card club for over fifty-five years, meeting once a month and enjoying vacations with them. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at The Groffs Family Funeral & Cremation Services, 528 W. Orange Street (corner of Orange & Pine Sts.) Lancaster with the Rev. Margaret Kassees officiating. A viewing will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions in Doris’ memory to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 223 W.
