Dale Allen Snyder

Dale Allen Snyder, 55, of Lancaster, PA passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on Monday, June 19, 2017 after a courageous fight. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Larry Dale and Lurinda Gross Snyder of Lititz and the husband of his beloved wife, Sharon Galen Snyder of 35 years. He graduated from J.P. McCaskey in 1980 and worked for RR Donnelly and Sons as a machine operator in the printing department retiring after of 30 years of service. He played in the Chestnut Street, Street Hockey club and co-ed softball league at Lancaster Rec and was an avid Indianapolis, formerly Baltimore Colts fan. He enjoyed golfing, loved his dogs, and porch coffee time. Hobbies included fishing at Bethany Beach, bowling at Garden Spot Bowling Center and attending his daughter’s soccer games. In addition to his beloved wife and mother, he is survived by his daughter, Casey and Wallace Jamison of Lancaster, PA, two brothers: Larry Snyder (Mindy) of Hershey, PA and John Snyder of Conestoga, PA, two sisters: Sandy Snyder-McFalls (Dan) of Lancaster, PA and Leanne Armold (Jeff) of Marietta, PA. His extended family was so important to Dale including: Richard & Georganna Galen, Lori Galen Fuchs family, Denise Galen family, Bob & Janet Galen and a granddaughter (Zoe Jamison) on the way. Dale is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Noah Lazo. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Dale’s Celebration of Life Memorial Service at The Groffs Family Funeral Home, 528 W. Orange Street (corner of W. Orange & Pine Sts.), Lancaster, PA on Monday, June 26, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Richard Hill officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
