Cynthia K. Beichtel

A beautiful spirit, Cynthia K. “Cindy” Beichtel, 84, of Lancaster, PA, passed away peacefully with her devoted family by her side on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at Hospice and Community Care. On that spring morning as the butterflies flew by and the mourning dove cooed Cindy was gently carried by the heaven sent angels into the arms of her loving, precious Lord and Savior. Born in Lancaster, she was the faithful, loving wife of the late Oren E. “Art” Beichtel. She was the daughter of the late Lawrence J. “Jim” Kegel and Pauline B. Miller Kegel. She will be lovingly missed by her family, her daughter, Jacqueline M., wife of Richard L. Gibson, two granddaughters, April M., wife of Micah Donovan, and Heather L., wife of Douglas Frederick; three great grandchildren, Veronica Jacqueline, Peyton Douglas, and Madisyn Kylee; and five step-great grandchildren and one step great great grandson. She is survived by her siblings, Patricia A. Pacheco, John P. Kegel, and the late James C. Kegel. She was recently happy to be reunited with her son Lawrence J. “Larry” Lentz, husband of Nancy, whom she had placed for adoption as an infant. Cindy had bravely fought a two-year battle with lung and bone cancer. During this time she was lovingly cared for by her devoted daughter Jackie along with her son-in-law Rick with whom she resided for the past 22 years. Cindy and family would like to thank the ABBCI and Hospice nurses and aides for their kindness and compassion at home and as an inpatient during her final years. Cindy had a generous heart and will always be remembered for blessing those fortunate enough to know her with her warmth, laughter, kindness, and love. In her early life she worked for Lancaster Caramel Co. and Hubley Toys. After retirement from LGH, she cherished spending time with her devoted family and loyal life-long friends, reading many books, traveling, and enjoying the music and worship services at LCBC, Manheim. She loved all animals and had a special bond with Sam the Siamese and Molly the Springer. At her request, services will be private. She will be interred with her husband at Riverview Burial Park.
