Carol Ann Trissler

Carol Ann (Force) Trissler, 60, of Marietta, is at rest after her courageous battle with cancer, and heaven has a new angel. Born in Altoona, PA, she was the daughter to the late Arthur C. Force, the husband of Thelma Force, and W. Jean (Parker) Nace, the wife to the late Donald Nace. Carol was the loving wife to Charles “Chuck” Trissler for 36 years. Carol’s personality was joyful in many ways, always having a fun and silly side. She had kind words for all without judgement. Carol cherished being around her family as the caretaker, especially her growing nest of grandchildren. After marrying Chuck, she was a dedicated stay at home mother highlighted by her time at the Delaware Beaches with family. She loved all forms of dance and was equally happy at the beach as she was at the mountains. As the children left the nest, Carol worked in retail as a supervisor for Gap Kids and at QVC in the Lancaster Warehouse. She and her husband Chuck are founders of 551 West Restaurant, a popular Lancaster eatery. In addition to her husband, Carol is survived by her children: Christen A. Tribbitt, wife of Brian of Lancaster and Cortney S. Blair, wife of Tony of Kalamazoo, MI, and her stepson Craig A. Trissler, significant other to Wendi Groff of Lancaster. Carol loved her beautiful grandchildren: Madelynn, Emma, Alice, Ava, Raya and Wesley. She is also survived by her brother David A. Force of Marietta and sister Susan R. Riehl of Wrightsville and many loving nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life service for Carol to be held at the Groff Family Funeral Home, 528 West Orange Street, Lancaster with Mark Unger officiating the service on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 2 p.m. The family will have a Visitation from 1 p.m. until the start of the service and a Reception will be held at 551 West, 551 W. King Street, Lancaster immediately after the service.
