Carol D. Good

With family by her side, Carol D. Good, 75, formerly of Wexford, PA ran into the loving arms of her Savior on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Blairsville, PA on June 26, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Edward & Kathryn Barnhart. Carol leaves behind her beloved husband of 18 years, Glenn W. Good; daughter, Deborah L. (Fahnestock) Roche, wife of John, Lititz, PA; and son, Matthew H. Fahnestock married to Mary (Roche) Fahnestock, Ann Arbor, Michigan. Carol was predeceased in 1998 by her first husband of 35 years, Howard S. Fahnestock, and her sister, Elaine in 2002. Surviving in addition are her much adored grandchildren, Ashley (Fahnestock) Vinton, wife of Kyle, Abby Fahnestock, Matthew Fahnestock, Jaelyn Roche, Luke Roche and Josiah Roche. Carol loved people first and foremost and enjoyed hosting gatherings while spoiling everyone with her delicious food. No one ever left Carol’s hungry! She also loved traveling with her husband, going to their camper at Milford Park Bible Camp, volunteering for Hospice, playing games as a family, and faithfully supporting all her grandchildren and their various and assorted endeavors. Carol and her husband were active members of Community Bible Church in Marietta. Carol made lasting friendships wherever she went and was loved by all. A special thank you to Lancaster General Neuro and ICU for their love, concern, and relentless pursuit of a diagnosis. While her death remains a mystery, her destination is not. Welcome Home, Mom! Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of Carol’s life and home going at Community Bible Church, 331 Anderson Ferry Road, Marietta, PA 17457 on Friday March 29, 2019 with Pastors Burkholder & Gunst officiating. Friends will be received from 10:00–11:00 a.m. The service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with a luncheon to follow. Interment will be private at Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont, PA.
