Adam P. Bricker

Adam P. Bricker, 43, of Lancaster, PA, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. Born in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of the late Anthony L. Bricker and the late Anne M. (Roeting) Bricker. Adam is survived by a brother James F Schmidt, as well as his second family Bob & Tracy Artus, Heather Weaver (Justin), Kyle Travelet (Annie), Bob Artus (Erin), Alex Artus, nephews Brigham & Ellis Weaver, niece Millie Travelet, Grandma and Grandaddy, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Adam will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. He graduated from Hempfield High School in 1998 and received a diploma in general accounting from the Consolidated School of Business. He was a commercial closing specialist at Fulton Bank for many years. Adam was a founding member of the York Beard & Mustache Club where he attended and placed in numerous beard competitions and helped the club raise thousands of dollars in support of several organizations. He participated in many marathons and half marathons including the Goofy Challenge in Walt Disney World. He was also a participant of the St. Baldricks Foundation Conquer Kids Cancer for many years, which he was raising money for this upcoming year. Adam also participated in numerous occasions with Walk A Mile In Her Shoes, an organization created for men ending men’s sexualized violence. He enjoyed reading, watching movies and tv series from past years and was an avid skateboarder since a very young age. He was a huge fan of the West Ham Soccer Club. A Celebration of Adam’s life will be held at The Groffs Family Funeral Home, 528 W. Orange Street, Lancaster, PA 17603 on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 10:30 A.M. Friends and relatives are welcome to greet the “second family” from 9:30 until the time of celebration. Afterwards there will be a gathering at American Bar & Grill to continue celebrating Adam’s life.
