Robin S. Kann

Robin Sue Murphy Kann, 69, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Tuesday June 23, 2026. Born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Thomas Murphy and Peggy Dangro Murphy. Known to many simply as “Mama,” Robin had a remarkable ability to make people feel welcome. Her warmth, quick wit, and caring nature left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Whether through family, friendships, or her work, she spent her life caring for others and bringing people together. Robin worked throughout the Lancaster area at TGI Friday’s, Fiorentino’s, Mick’s All American, Hall's Cafe, The Village Night Club, and Bert’s Bottle Shop, where she formed countless friendships and became a familiar face to so many. She is survived by her loving husband, Dave Kann, whom she married on May 28, 1994; her children, George T. Grau and partner Nina Mendez, Celina Grau, Kerri Jo Walton and husband Randy Walton, Nichole Underwood and husband Sean Underwood, and Michelle “Little Robin” Ruhl; and her grandchildren Georgie, Dylan, Alyssa and husband Ethan, Brandon, Logan, Brady, Leo, Sarah, and Cooper. She is also survived by her siblings Sandy Epting, Thomas Murphy, Kelly Murphy, Kasey Gordon, and Russell Murphy, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends. Following a stroke in 2020, Robin faced significant health challenges with strength and determination. While those years were difficult, the love of her family never wavered, and she remained at the center of their lives. Robin will be remembered for her generous spirit, her ability to light up a room, and the love she shared so freely with others. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Orange Street, Lancaster, PA 17603, on Friday, July 3, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. There will be a Visitation on Thursday evening, July 2, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday, July 3, 2026 from 12 noon until the time of service.
