“Here We Go Again” Robert “Bob” W. Tangert, 78, of Denver, died unexpectedly due to complications from surgery on Monday, February 27, 2017. Heaven gained one hell of a Rock Star. Words cannot describe how much you will be missed. We all love you Pops. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Walter R. and Kathleen Lefevre Tangert. He was married to his loving wife and best friend Judith Leaman Tangert for 60 years. Bob lived in Lancaster most of his life and graduated from McCaskey High School in 1956. He worked at Armstrong World Industries for over 30 years as a Millwright in the Inlaid Division. Following his retirement, Bob worked at the Manheim Auto Auction and volunteered at Village Vista. Bob enjoyed his new home in Denver and all the associated outdoor yardwork. An avid handyman, Bob enjoyed spending time tinkering with many projects. Bob was a big observer of ALL things around him. His interests included Animal Rescue efforts and he was a Harley Davidson enthusiast. His excursions with Judy took him far and wide. A true people person, Bob could engage in conversation with anyone. Bob is survived by his three children, Kathleen Tangert King, (fiancé Dominic Spadea) of Millersville, Robert A. Tangert (Dori) of Lititz, and R. Lynn Hamilton, Charles (“Chuckers”) of Lititz. Bob loved his seven grandchildren, Alexander King, Natasha King, Jennifer Goodworth, Michael Robert Tangert, Mark Paul Tangert, Taylor K. Hamilton and Peyton Hamilton as well as his five great-grandchildren, Dominic Goodworth, Avery Goodworth, Lauren Goodworth, Michael R. Tangert, and Ophelia King. His lifetime best friend, Jack Hertzler, was always a blessing in his life. An avid pet lover, Bob loved his dog, LJ, and seven cats, Lucus, Shawnee, Tess, Monica, Billy, Josie, and Ava. A Celebration of Bob’s Life will take place at The Groffs Family Funeral Home at 528 West Orange Street, (Orange and Pine Streets) Lancaster, PA on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. The family requests casual dress and feel free to ride your motorcycle in honor of Bob. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
