Realus B. Woodard, Jr.

Realus B. Woodard Jr., 69, of Lancaster, passed surrounded by his family at Hospice & Community Care, Mt. Joy, PA on Friday, June 10, 2016. Born in Unadilla, GA, he was the son of the late Realus and Alice Mae Woodard. Realus proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was employed as a millwright for Armstrong World Industries, where he retired after 33 years of service in 2004. He served in the Vietnam War and was a Purple Heart recipient. He is Past Master of Mt. Horeb Lodge #14 of MWPHGL of PA. –F&M. Nimrod Consistory No. 9 Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Free Mason- PHA- Northern jurisdiction USA, Inc. ,and Himyar Temple No. 17 A.E.A.O.N.M.S., Inc. He is survived by his wife, Robin Anderson Woodard, three sons: LaDon, Darrick and Brandon Woodard and a daughter: Sheena Woodard all of Lancaster, PA, two sisters: Alice Mae Banks of Hampton VA, Patricia Woodard of Vidalia GA, as well as his foster father, Clarence Martin and multiple foster brothers and sisters in Lyons GA. He also is survived by four grandchildren: Antoine, Anika, Brandon Jr., and Brielle Woodard. He is survived by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Realus is also survived by his In-laws: Jacque, wife of John Unrein, Diane, wife of David Barton, Larry, husband of Tina Jordan, Spencer, husband of Saude Jordan, Robert, husband of Lisha Anderson, Pamela Winder, Karen Cotton and Bennett Cotton. He was predeceased by the late Joyce Evans and the late Brian Cotton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Realus’ Funeral Service to be held on Wednesday, June 15th, 2016 at 12:00 Noon at Brightside Baptist Church, 515 Hershey Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17603 with Reverend Jerry Anderson, of Charlotte, NC officiating. A viewing will take place at the Groff Family Funeral Home, 528 West Orange St. (the corner of Orange & Pine St’s) Lancaster, PA on Tuesday, June 14th from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m and on Wednesday at the church from 11:00am until the time of the service. A Masonic ceremony will be held Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Mellingers Mennonite Cemetery.
