Pauline F. Giberson

Pauline F. Giberson, 85, of Summer Street, Salunga, PA, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at Hospice & Community Care. Born in Lancaster, Pauline was the widow of Ernest Giberson, who passed away on February 20, 2003, and the daughter of the late George Washington DeMorra, Jr. and Marie Esther Grube DeMorra. A lifelong resident of Lancaster County, she was a member of the former St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church. Pauline’s first job was working as a “soda jerk” at the age of 17, at a store located behind Howard Avenue. She went on to work for the former Hubley’s Toy Company. She then worked at the Park City Mall, starting with the former Woolworth’s Department Store, then she worked at the Tobacco Palace, and finished her career at the former Clover’s, also at the Park City Mall. She enjoyed going to Fenwick Island, watching the Phillies and the Washington Nationals, and was a fan of the Green Bay Packers. She was an avid reader, enjoying mystery books, listening to Bobby Vinton, collected pitcher and bowl sets, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She is lovingly survived by her children, Vicky Linn Lynch, Missouri, Brenda Lee Donnan, Salunga, PA, Audrey Marie, wife of Dale R. Hershey, Mount Joy, PA, Georgann, wife of Michael Cummings, Paradise, PA; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Steven Edward Giberson, her brother, Jack DeMorra, and her grandson, Gerald “JC” Houck. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Pauline’s Funeral Service at The Groffs Family Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 528 W. Orange St., (corner of W. Orange & Pine Sts.), Lancaster, PA on Monday, October 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplain Timothy Sadler officiating. The family will receive friends at The Groffs on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be held at Conestoga Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice & Community Care, 685 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125 in Pauline’s memory.
