Parke Henry Dicely

Parke R. Henry Dicely passed away on Friday, July 10, 2015 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. He was 85 years old. He was the son of the late Park R. Henry and Anna Louise Henry Dicely and Maurice Dicely. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Joyce E. Wagner Dicely; his son, Parke Douglas, his sisters, Annalee Hicks and Betty Parks and his brother, Paul Dicely. He is survived by his daughters: Cynthia, wife of Robert Sarnack of Miami, Florida; Anne, wife of Peter Wolosyn of Leola and Pamela, wife of Floyd Brownsberger of Washington Boro. His grandchildren: Angela, wife of Jeffery Diffenderfer, Anne and Joseph Sarnack; Madeline and Jonathan Wolosyn; Andrew, husband of Jessica Brownsberger and great grandchildren, Luke and Leah Brownsberger. Parke served as a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force from June, 1947 until June, 1950 and was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. He worked as a traffic manager at Case New Holland until his retirement in 1991. He was a charter member of Grandview United Methodist Church having joined in 1944 and was a member until the time of his death. He loved his church very much and found great comfort there. The family is grateful to the care that Dad received from the staff of Special Care who were so instrumental in helping him to stay in his home as long as possible. We are also grateful to the people of his church family and friends who supported him with kindness and prayer; and finally to the people of hospice because of whose kind and gentle care the journey was made peaceful. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Parke’s Funeral Service at Grandview United Methodist Church, 888 Pleasure Road, Lancaster, PA on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 11:00AM with Rev. Andrea Brown officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will be held at Conestoga Memorial Park. Kindly omit flowers.
