Luis A. Rodriguez Jr.

Luis A. Rodriguez Jr. better known as Juny, 41, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022. Born in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of Luis A. Rodriguez Sr. and Maria I. Rosado. Luis worked as a Landscaper for many years after graduating from J.P. McCaskey high school. Luis was a sports fanatic; his favorite teams were the Eagles and the Phillies. His humble and charismatic demeanor will be missed by many people who loved him. He was funny, outspoken, charitable in time of need, and counseled those who would benefit as Luis was not judgmental. He cared deeply and protected those he loved especially his grandkids. You could never find Luis sitting still, he liked to be active and listen to his favorite Christian music. He celebrated the holidays which he cherished deeply and loved sweets especially Mike and Ike’s, honeybuns, and moon pies. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his three daughters, Lina M. Rodriguez, Kayla M. Rodriguez, and Arianna L. Rodriguez all of Lancaster, PA, three grandchildren, Mylene Tanarez, Kayleen Tanarez, and Carmelo L. Scott, five sisters, Maria M. Rodriquez, Carmen L. Rodriguez, Iliana M. Rivera married to Manny of Lancaster, Anika Z. Rodriguez of Lancaster, and Velma Z. Rodriguez of Delta ,PA. two brothers Cuamez L. Rodriguez of Wildwood, NJ, and Coamez L. Rodriguez married to Heather of Lancaster, PA, and aunts & uncles: Iris, Alicia, Carmen, Chano, Mirna, Margie, Felix, Dody, Provy, Luis and Gemmy Rosado, many loving nieces and nephews and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Antera Velazquez and Ruperto Rosado, Maria Rodriguez, Baby nephew, Jkwon Rodriguez, and his brother, David Rodriguez whom he will be laid to rest beside. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Luis’s Funeral Service on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at 11 a.m. at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church, 425 S Duke St, Lancaster, PA 17602 with Father Luis Rodriguez officiating. A Viewing will be held on Monday, August 1, 2022 at The Groffs Family Funeral Home, 528 W. Orange Street Lancaster, Pa 17603 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on the day of the service from 10 a.m. until the service begins. Interment will be at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery, 35 Greenfield Drive, Lancaster, Pa 17602 following the service.
