Please click on the link. https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/a25034089250820 Lourdes Judy Kemper passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. She was born to the late Francisco Coss and Esperanza Rivera. She was preceded in death by her younger brother William Coss, Sr. Lourdes graduated from Monroe High School in the Bronx, NY. She continued her education at Millersville University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Education degree. She spent many years working for the former St. Joseph Hospital in Lancaster, Millersville University, and finally, the School District of Lancaster as a Spanish Teacher, where she had her long and fulfilling, professional career. Her introduction to education was at the middle school level where she quickly established herself as a powerful leader in the profession. She moved to the high school level in the early 2000s. It was at McCaskey East where she excelled at not only instilling the importance of academics but also forming lasting relationships with her students. Lourdes was a staunch supporter of promoting student advancement. She was also an advocate for the unheard and the unseen – she saw the potential in each student who walked through her classroom door. Her legacy is felt in the graduates who benefited from her tutelage and love. She remained a beloved presence at McCaskey East until her retirement. Lourdes was a fountain of information on just about anything and had a passion for traveling. She has literally traveled all over the world with many family members and friends; many of the trips were organized by her. She loved cooking, especially Spanish dishes that brought many friends and family together. Above all, Lourdes was known for her unwavering kindness and friendships with many people from all walks of life. She was responsible for bringing many friendships together within her circle of friends. Her caring, upbeat spirit made her unforgettable to everyone she met. She was an inspiration to many and will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle L. Rosas; and her sons, Steven W. Rosas (Rachael) and Joseph M. Seda; Brothers Frankie Coss and Luis Munoz and family; her sister Carmen Sanchez; her grandchildren: Alexandra Rosas, Anthony Rosas, Eli Seda, Aerial Seda, Joselyn Eva Santiago; her nieces Melissa Coss Aquino (Fernando), Jennifer Coss, Cherylene Coss; her nephews William Coss, Jr. (Mary), Jason Sanchez, Ray Crespo, Noah Santana; Great Niece Mila Rose; Great Nephews Gabriel Aquino, Antonio Aquino, Xavier Coss; Cousins Zoraida Hernandez (Maria Lorenzo), Willie Sanchez, and many other Coss/Sanchez cousins; her friends: Adelia Nazario and family, Bonnie Perry, Joyce McEwan- Whitehead (Clifford), Jessica Hamby, Juliannie Santiago, Annie Colon- Mangual, and many other cousins and friends. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at The Groffs Family Funeral Home, 528 West Orange Street, Lancaster, PA 17603. Friends are welcome to greet the family at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home for the viewing. The interment will be private.
