Leamon Troublefield, Sr.

Leamon Troublefield Sr., 90 At home with his family, on October 10th, 2025, Leamon Troublefield Sr. departed this earthly world to be with his Savior. Born in Pikeville, NC, to the late Dea and Alean Troublefield Sr., on May 10th, 1935, Leamon came to Lancaster in 1955, to visit with his uncle and stayed for the next seventy years. As a new resident, he began working at Armstrong Cork Company. Then while riding his motorcycle, Leamon met the lovely Mary Caldwell, the love of his life and future wife. To support his young family, in addition to his many other jobs, Leamon became an entrepreneur, owning the Blue Moon Restaurant and starting Troublefield Car Wash and Detailing. Looking for a long-term career, Leamon was met with the decision of becoming a fireman or postal worker. Leamon chose the latter, retiring from the United States Postal Service, in 1996, after 39 years of dedication. A faithful member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Lancaster for more than 70 years, he served as an usher, trustee, a member of the gospel choir, and continued to connect to the community through the EBC Food Bank. Leamon was a Past Master of Prince Hall Mt. Horeb Lodge #14 for over 50 years. Leamon was also a member of Nimrod Consistory #9 and Himyar Temple #17. As he was devoted to all he did, Leamon’s greatest love and joy was his family. Leamon and Mary would have celebrated 69 years of marriage in November. In addition to his wife Mary Troublefield, Leamon is survived by their four children: Linda Troublefield-Owens (John), Leamon Troublefield Jr., Marie Troublefield, and Anthony Troublefield Sr. (Cindy); their eight grandchildren: Chanel Troublefield (Marvis), John Owens III, Andrea Troublefield, Jihan Owens-Tyler (Clinton), Jorrell Owens (Wintana), Leamon Troublefield III, Adrian Troublefield, and Anthony Troublefield Jr.; thirteen great grandchildren: Deja, Denaja, Drew, Odezhon, Luis, Hezekiah, Amirah, Isaiah, Clinton III, Ababa, Jamila, Zahara, and Jaiana; and one great-great grandchild, Anais. Also surviving Leamon are his sisters: Ella Mae Dobbins, Marjean Huggins, Beulah T. Evans, and Barbara Davis. Leamon is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. In addition to his parents, Leamon was preceded in death by his siblings: James, Dea Jr. And Johnny Troublefield, Sue Agbenyeke, and Brenda Troublefield. In lieu of floral arrangements due to allergic reaction, please make donations in Leamon’s name to the EBC Food Bank, 701 N. Lime Street, Lancaster, PA 17602. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Leamon’s Funeral Service at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 701 N. Lime Street, Lancaster, PA, on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Roland P. Forbes officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Masonic Rites will perform from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Viewing from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
