Jeremy L. Shull

He was born in Stonega, VA, to Gordon Shull, a miner’s doctor, and Jean Miller, a native of Canada. Jeremy lived in several Appalachian coal-mining towns along the Tennessee and Kentucky borders before moving to a small town in Wilson, Niagara County, NY, at age 12. Thereafter, he, with his handsome surfer-boy looks, would spend the summers on Lake Ontario boating, swimming, and waterskiing. Jeremy attended Ohio State University and the State University of New York, at Buffalo, earning a B.S. degree in Management Accounting/Auditing. He spent a 35-year career with National Gypsum. Jeremy was one of the original owners of the property, whose address would become part of the coveted Old Town Neighborhood in Lancaster City. Throughout his 46 years residing in Old Town, he was committed to the community and took an active role in planning and participating in neighborhood events. He was also a dedicated trombonist in the Sound of Roses band for over three decades. Jeremy will always be remembered for his gentle spirit, sense of humor, wonderful smile, and ever-so-faint Southern drawl. In addition to his best buds and caregivers, Jim, Terry, and Molly, he is survived by four brothers and a sister. Bruce (Alice), Gary (Marcia), Brian (Judy), Stuart (Gloria), and Jeanette (Mike). Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jeremy’s Memorial Service at St. James Episcopal Church, 119 N. Duke Street, Lancaster, PA, on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. The service will be livestreamed on Jeremy’s Memorial Page, with the link found in the obituary. Interment will be at the St. James Memorial Garden immediately following the service.
