Jeanette Jiggetts

Jeanette Myrna Jiggetts, 87, of Lititz, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 2, 2026, at Penn State Health, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, she was the daughter of the late Ashton Williams and Ruby Rosita Yearwood. She was the beloved wife of Edgar Augustine Jiggetts, with whom she shared 56 years of marriage. Faith was the cornerstone of Jeanette’s life. She was a longtime member of Brooklyn Bible Tabernacle, where she faithfully served in numerous roles, including choir member, usher, trustee, and Sunday School teacher. Beyond the church walls, Jeanette was a devoted Bible scholar and prayer warrior whose faith guided her daily life. She also gave back to her community as a Girl Scout leader, nurturing and mentoring young girls. Jeanette found great joy in cooking and baking, especially making homemade bread and her famous carrot cake. She was also talented in crocheting and sewing, often sharing her gifts as a skilled seamstress. Above all else, she was deeply family-oriented and cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. Blessed with a strong aptitude for mathematics, Jeanette enjoyed a successful career in the finance industry. In her younger years, she was also a semi-professional tennis player, a testament to her discipline and determination. In addition to her husband, Edgar Augustine Jiggetts, Jeanette is survived by her children: Patricia T. (Andre) Adams, Giselle C. Jiggetts, and Charles W. Jiggetts; six grandchildren, Jaslyn S. Jiggetts, Tiffany J. (Jason) Estrada, Joshua J. Miller, Janae Adams, Jalen Adams, and Alyssa Jiggetts; and four great-grandchildren, Elisse, Emiar, Jayda, and Leilani. In addition to her parents, Jeanette was preceded in death by her four brothers. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jeanette’s Funeral Service at The Groffs Family Funeral Home, 528 W. Orange Street, Lancaster, PA, on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
