Jane Kremer Martin

Jane Kremer Martin, 91, of Lancaster, PA, died peacefully with her daughter by her side on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Brethren Village. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late William Kremer and Mae Dippel Kremer. She was married 45 years to the late William Lemmon Martin, Jr. who died in October 1995. Jane graduated from Cheltenham High School in 1945 and attended Hood College. Jane was a homemaker, but also enjoyed work as a Lancaster tour guide. She was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church where she served as the first woman trustee and served as a treasurer on the nursery school board. Jane was a member of Lancaster Country Club where she served as past president of the Ladies 9-Hole Golf Group. She also served as a member of the Manheim Township Hospital Auxiliary. Jane loved Lancaster where she and Bill nurtured many long-lasting friendships. She also enjoyed many winters in Naples, FL. Throughout her lifetime Jane shared many special times with family and friends in Ocean City, NJ. Her interests included playing bridge, reading, needlepoint, listening to music from the big band era, family dinners, and playing golf with her husband and friends. Jane was an animal lover her entire life. She was a loving and nurturing mother to her daughter: Linda M., wife of Francis C. Moyer, Danville, PA, she is also survived by two step grandchildren and one step great-grandchild. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Jane’s Memorial Service at Highland Presbyterian Church, 500 E. Roseville Road, Lancaster on Friday, June 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with The Reverend Dr. Ann Osborne officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
