G. Paul Keddy

G. Paul Keddy, 78, of Apple Lane, Mountville, PA, died peacefully on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 surrounded by his family. Born in Boston, MA, he was the loving husband of Lourdes Cecelia “Chari” Mendez Keddy, with whom he celebrated his 53rd wedding anniversary on February 27th and adored with all his heart. He was the son of the late James Patrick and Bernice Cecilia (Baril) Keddy. Paul graduated from Milton High School and received two scholarships to attend Colby College where he received his Bachelor’s Degree. He received his Master’s Degree in Business from Rutgers University. He worked as an Accountant, Financial Advisor, Certified Public Accountant, and was a Licensed Broker, working for CLA Financial Services. Paul loved life and people. He was involved in many activities and organizations including the Rotary Club, the Heritage Foundation and the Urban League. He was an avid tennis player and a member of the Lancaster Tennis and Yacht Club. He loved the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, singing, dancing and playing cards. Paul received his bronze award for playing bridge. Most of all, he was a great family man, loved their dog, Wilson and will be remembered for helping others with anything they needed done. In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by his daughter, Larissa, son in law, Brett, his two grandchildren, Bella and Julia, his brother, Richard and two sisters, Irene and Doris in addition to Paul’s extended family Pete, Pamela and Pucci. He was preceded in death by his sister, Bebe. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 558 W. Walnut Street, Lancaster, PA on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Michael E. Messner Celebrant. The family will receive friends on Monday evening, July 9, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at The Groffs Family Funeral Home, 528 W. Orange Street, Lancaster, PA. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, and in memory of his sister, Bebe, memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society in Paul’s name.
