Francisca Robles

Francisca Robles, 83, peacefully passed of natural causes at home with her family by her side on Tuesday, August 21, 2018. Born in Hatillo, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Ambrosio Ruiz and Nicolasa Rivera. She was married to the late Jose Angel Robles for 63 years who passed away in September 2016. Francisca was a dedicated member of the Spanish Mennonite Church (Iglesia de El Buen Pastor) on 645 Harrison St since 1968. She was a member of its Women’s Committee as well as a Sunday School Teacher for many years. Francisca worked as a seamstress for Terry Manufacturing in Leola from 1967 until her retirement in 1997. She is most known in the community for being a sales representative for Popular Club Plan and Lucky Heart products, for numerous years. Francisca had been residing at Manor Care, 100 Abbeyville Rd. since July 2012 until she was brought home on Monday, August 20, 2018, honoring her final wish. At Manor Care, Francisca was such caring soul, always greeting someone with a smile and saying “God bless you” as a goodbye. Francisca was a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was a great cook, baker and seamstress. She enjoyed listening to and singing Christian hymns. Most of all, she adored her family. She was loved by many and will be extremely missed by all. Francisca touched the lives of everyone she met. She would always make the time to listen to people, help people and speak to them about the beautiful Grace of God. She was truly an angel on earth. Francisca was the matriarch of her family. She is survived by a daughter, Maria Robles Melendez; a son, Jose E. (Doreen) Robles; and a daughter, Nikki Domingo Macias all of Lancaster, PA. Four granddaughters; Madalyn Robles, Maritza McCabe, Champagne Domingo, Dory Ann Robles-Lutz and also four great-grandchildren; Tyler Robles, Nyah Lutz, Brady Kilheffer and Brendan Lutz. She had eight siblings. She is survived by brother, Frank Ruiz, along with countless nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Francisca’s Celebration of Life Service to be held on Saturday, August 25th at 1p.m. at The Groffs Family Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 528 West Orange Street, (corner of West Orange & Pine Sts.), Lancaster, PA 17603 with Pastor Juan Gonzalez officiating. The family will receive friends at Iglesia Del Buen Pastor, 645 Harrison St., Lancaster, PA 17602 on Friday, August 24th from 7:00- 9:00 p.m. and at The Groffs Family Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
