Craig Zechman

Craig Zechman, 54, a devoted husband, loving father, and steadfast friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 5, 2025, in Orlando, Florida, surrounded by his family. Craig lived his life with intention, compassion, and quiet strength. He was a man of deep faith, boundless generosity, and an unwavering love for his family. For over three decades, he shared a beautiful life with his wife Megan—his best friend, partner, and tireless caregiver during his cancer journey. Together they built a home filled with laughter, purpose, and enduring love. He was a proud father to Marianna and Abigail, whom he cherished beyond measure. He poured his heart into raising them, guiding them with wisdom, humor, and a steady hand. Craig often said that being their dad was the greatest gift of his life. After being diagnosed with cancer about two years ago, Craig chose to meet each day with courage and gratitude. He created the YouTube channel, One Man’s Cancer Journey, offering honesty, hope, and encouragement to others facing similar battles. His willingness to be vulnerable helped countless others feel less alone. Craig was also a teacher at heart. Through his work in education and curriculum development, and as a proud homeschooling dad, he helped shape future generations with kindness and clarity. His legacy lives on not only in the lessons he taught but in the love he gave freely. He found joy in the simple things—sitting on the beach, attending UCF (University of Central Florida) football games, making memories with his daughters, and quiet evenings at home with Megan. Even in hard seasons, he held fast to what mattered most: faith, family, and love. Craig graduated from Manheim Central High School, Albright College, and the University of Michigan. He is survived by his wife, Megan (Steuber) and his daughters, Abigail and Marianna, his parents, Don and Faye (Gamber) Zechman, Lititz, PA, a brother, Scott (wife Jennifer, children Lauren, Ethan and wife Hope, Ryan, and Erin, Gainesville, VA, an aunt Kaye Williams, Hummelstown, PA, and cousins Kevin and Bryan. Memorial gifts are welcome at the University of Michigan Alumni Club of Central Florida Scholarship Fund. Craig’s presence was a gift. His impact, immeasurable. And his memory will live on in every life he touched.
